Well its somehow the end of March NO ONE PANIC! this year is just flying by and I can’t even deal.
This month I have read many books – most of them eBooks! I went on a bit of a romance binge #noregrets I did read 4 physical books as well! I think hands down the favourite of the month is The Hate U Give! I am currently trying to write a review and finding it very difficult to form coherent thoughts hahaha. Ok enough rambling onto the wrap up:
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
10/5 Avocados – literally deserves every Avocado in the world
OK just so so amazing! Even if you don’t think this book is up your ally you are wrong and you will love it! I am not usually one to love contemporary YA, I usually go more for adult YA but this books was just AMAZING, no other word for it! I will attempt to write my proper review soon!
Shopaholic Ties the Knot & Shopaholic and Sister by Sophie Kinsella
I do really just love this series. The characters are funny and lovely and each book is just fun to read! I have put a pause on my re read of this series for now, but may pick it up again next month! I love Becky and Luke and the whole gang! if you are looking for a fun light hearted read I will always recommend this series and any of Sophie Kinsella’s books.
Paris Lights & New York Nights by C.J Duggan.
4/5 Avocados each!
This was my first time reading any of C. J Duggan’s books and over all I really enjoyed them! I loved that the characters were close to my age and Duggan wrote them very well! I felt all their emotions and experiences were authentic. I love Duggans writing style, it was easy to read without being too simple and I was hooked straight away! My one issue is I found with both of them the story ended a bit suddenly. I wanted more time where the couple worked it out, or we got to read about them after the happy ending rather than whatever issue/fight they had being resolved and then bam the book is over. I will definitely be picking up more of her books and C.J Duggan is Australian too! Also I read Paris Lights on ebook and New York Nights in paperback.
The Night Prince Series by Jeaniene Frost (4 books)
5/5 Avocados – Overall
I really love Jeaniene Frost and all her books! If you are after a good vampire/urbane/supernatural fantasy with some sexy times then this is the author for you! I have read the first three books before and as the 4th one came out this month I did a big re read of the first three and then finished it off with the 4th and LOVED it. Overall this series has everything you need. A kick ass heroine with awesome powers and then you have the brooding love interest who is literally Dracula. I liked the way their story wrapped up, I never felt board throughout this series, or felt like it repeated its self too much. I really liked the cameos we got of my other favourite characters throughout this series too! It has definitely made me want to go back and re read Cat and Bones books, and finally finish their series too! I would love to own these books in actual paperback one day rather than just on ebook.
Julia Quinn – Various books haha I went on a bit of a binge.
Ok so the ones I actually read are: Smythe-Smith Quartet 1 & 2 and Because of Miss Bridgerton (Rokesbys #1). Its no secret I love Julia Quinn’s writing. They are honestly just so much fun to read. I have read the Smythe – Smith 1& 2 before but not the next few in the series so I think that is on the cards for April! I really liked the first in the new Rokesbys series too – I can’t wait for the next one to come out! I always recommend Julia Quinn as one of my favourite Historical romance authors. The characters are witty and funny and just so loveable.
Ok thats it for the month!! I have some more ebooks to read this month mostly Jeaniene Frost and Julia Quinn and then I am hoping to tackle some physical books off my tbr shelf!
I hope you all had a wonderful reading month and heres to a wonderful one next month!
